Dr Anthony Brownson is an experienced Auckland gastroenterologist and endoscopist, providing comprehensive assessment and management of digestive and liver conditions. He offers expert, patient-centred care with a focus on accurate diagnosis, clear communication, and personalised treatment plans.

Anthony manages a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions including bowel cancer screening and surveillance, coeliac disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), diverticular disease, and liver disease.

He performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including colonoscopy, gastroscopy, and endoscopy for symptoms such as abdominal pain, reflux, iron deficiency, gastrointestinal bleeding, and changes in bowel habit. He also provides advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP for the management of biliary and pancreatic conditions.

Anthony and the team provide in-person consultations at Waitematā Gastroenterology in Takapuna, offering comprehensive specialist assessment in a welcoming clinical setting. Telehealth appointments are also available for patients who prefer to connect from home or who are located outside Auckland, ensuring flexible and accessible care.

Based in Auckland, Anthony works closely with referring GPs and specialists to ensure timely access to care and continuity of management. His approach prioritises patient understanding, comfort, and high-quality outcomes.
